PGA Super Store...The Meca of all Golf Stores

If being at the Spring Fling from 9:30 until 12:30 wasn't enough for the day. We went to the PGA Super Store in Kennesaw after. Yes...can you say Heaven on Earth for Golfers. Mark, Jema, and Mara came out with lots of stuff...in that order. You will find some of their treasures pictured below. We spent until 2:45 in the store. The only thing to get Mark out was...a tee time with Jema. SHH...don't tell Jema that I told you but...the other part of their four some was a 10 year old boy. Can you say...cute boy. Jema preceded to get out of the cart and walk with him on the holes. Mark said that they could not get any closer. I know ...I am going to have to teach him to take the camera. You never know when you might need it. After they played nine... then dinner... then we all went to the pool. We closed the pool down tonight.

Jema with her new golf outfit and purple...yes...purple hybrid. Hey...I don't even have a hybrid.

Mara got new pink golf shoes. She loved them..she was not happy when she woke up from her nap and dad/jema were at the course.

And Mark is eating his words...I think he said...there is NO FREAKING WAY I will ever buy a freaking pair of those...yes he was talking about plaid golf shorts. These are real manly...pink, purple, green, blue, and white plaid. I made sure and got a close up view. Jeff ,I think he said that to you at the Bridgemill Member/Guest. Well...when he wears these at the Old Hickory Member/Guest... you make him eat his words. Mark also bought a pair of orange and white seersucker shorts...Go Big Orange...Vols!

Mara's Spring Fling

Mara's Spring Fling at NMGC... her last performance as a recreational gymnast. She starts Fire Flies...pre-competitive beginning team Monday. Mara is just taking after big sis. Jema is Level 4 USAG...she starts competition in August. Mara stopped to look for us upstairs...we were down stairs. She had been practicing that headstand and wanted to make sure she got it right. Sorry the video is shaking, Jama was grabbing the camera. I know...always blame the baby.

MARA SHOWING OFF HER MEDAL/CERTIFICATE. Maybe in a few years she will be up there getting a medal from competition.

Last Day of School...Yeah or Oh No

Today was Jema's last day of first grade. Wow... I can not believe that it went by so fast. We only have two short...and do I mean short... months before school starts back. I am not sure how to cram everything in for this summer. I was thinking NO schedule, No plans...then reality hit. Here is a short list of what's going on for now. Jema and Mara have to be at the gym in Woodstock everyday for nastics...between the two, 12 hours a week for now then more. Mark has to travel to AL, MI, and AR (NWA) this month...more travel to come. And...a golf tourny in Nashville. Jema and Mara have gymnastics camp for team the first week, VBS the second week and Arkansas the third /fourth week to see family for 15 days...June. Oh yeah...we are stopping by the golf tourny to see Mark on Fathers day on our way down to AR. Mara also has her Spring Fling at gymnastics...pictures and video later. Three birthday parties for friends and last but most important hanging out with friends, taking family pictures, playing golf, swimming and gymnastics. We have two different sets of friends coming in during July and before we know it school...Gymnastics competition season...FOOTBALL (Go Hogs).

Electricity ...GFI...Scavenger Hunt

Well...tonight the kids are watching a DVD after dinner, I'm cleaning the kitchen and Mark is taking out the trash. Then it happened....yes the TV went off, then the fridge was off....then the kids yell ...WHAT HAPPENED! Mark went to check the breaker box but no fuse was tripped. So, here is where we start... the scavenger hunt. Almost every room had half the electricity working and half not. After checking the kitchen, garage, living room, dinning room, office, guest room and bathroom, (that would be the first floor where the power went out first) then ...laundry, our room and bathroom, Jema's room and bathroom, Mara's room....we finally found the culprit GFI plug in the little girls Jack n Jill bathroom. Yes...that would be almost as far away from the initial outage as possible. We were worried we may never find the source. After pushing the button...we waited... then there was electricity. You have to love how they wire new houses. Sometimes, just sometimes, I wonder if the electrician sits and thinks about how much fun it would be when this happens to a family. Because, I am sure, he/she would have went right to the farthest point in the house first to check the GFI plug.

Our Unusual Names...Where They Came From

Here goes trying to explain our children's names...so stay with me it's complex.
DAD - Mark Alan (MAR)
MOM - Jana Elizabeth (JER)

J - jana
E - elizabeth
M - mark
A - Alan
jema elizabeth (jer) (jimah)

M - 1st letter from Mark
A - 2nd letter from Jana
R - 3rd letter from Mark
A - 4th letter from Jana
mara ainsley (mar) (merah)

J - 1st letter from Jana
A - 2nd letter from Jana
M - 1st letter from Mark
A - 2nd letter from Mark
jama elise (jer) (jaymah)

ok... so if you followed that Jema, Jama, and myself all have the same initials and middle names because Elise is French for Elizabeth. Mark and Mara also have the same initials, however Jema picked out her middle name from our Maid-of-Honor.

We will need to buy a vowel if GOD decides that we need another child or it could get interesting.

The Pool is open !!!!

Jema is commenting on Jama's first day at the pool and Mara is sitting on the side cheering her on since it is the adult swim time. YES...every 45 minutes a whistle blows and the kids have to get out of the pool and it is adult swim (and baby) only, isn't that great. Doesn't she look so cute in her bikini and hat. Jama absolutely loved being in the pool and splashing around.

Groovy Party!!!!!

Check out the 70's glasses, disco ball earrings, and tie dyed shirt. This is her class at Liberty in GA posing for their year end 70's party. Ms. Laughlin had her hands full ,the class had a 25% turn over this year...yes we contributed to that. Also, there were 14 girls and 6 boys in the class. Speaking from a mom with three girls that is a lot of hormones flying around.

Sarah's birthday skate party

This is Jema and Sarah at the skating rink. Sarah had her birthday party there. WOW...it brings back memories. After helping Jema with one lap, she was off and flying, well with several falls. The next day she woke up and wondered why her knees were so dirty. NOT dirt,YES bruises.

Welcome to Little Miss Second Grader...

Jema had her awards ceremony at school ...we are happy to announce that yes she is going to be a second grader next year. My, they grow up fast. Gratitude was her award for attribute, and she received a silver award for attendance. Good thing she rides the bus in the morning- no tardies. She was very excited! Also Georgia has the GCRCT test, we are happy to announce that Jema received exceeds expectation for reading and meets expectations for math. Not bad since GA started a whole month early than in MA, so she essentially missed a month of school.

Jama our bitty baby

As some of you may already know, Jama was diagnosed with Organic Failure to Thrive last week. She is a whopping 13 lbs 3 oz at 7 months. Well, at least she is bigger than Mara was at this age. Of course, she did start out 1.5lbs bigger that Mara did when she came into this world. We went to an awesome Ped's GI Dr. this week and he is just going to monitor her since Mara tracked the same way. He feels she could have the same malabsorption issues. He does not want to do any major testing unless she does not start gaining about .6 ozs per month. So far, that has not happened at 4 months she weighed 12 lbs 12 ozs and at 6 months she was 13 lbs 2 ozs. So we are just playing the waiting game and getting lots of good use out of the 0-3 clothes.

Mara's Birthday

This year we had Mara's 3-year-old party at their Gym (NMGC)... our second home. We had lots of great friends at the party and the kids had a lot of fun. It was so nice to have meet lots of friends since we have just moved to Georgia. Everyone has been so nice. The kids are all in the big foam pit posing for a shot.

Mara thought Jama needed help doing a tuck and roll. I think Jama was doing good just trying to start crawling. Isn't it great when you are the baby of three girls.

Wheeeee...look at me. Watch out here I come.

Yes, it was a Princess Party. She could not decide what theme she wanted this year and at the last minute she decided Princess. Thank goodness that big sister had had two different Princess Party's and we had lots of decoration and things already.
The next day was her actual birthday and since we turned three we had to give up our pacies. We came up with the idea of them flying away on balloons. The girls and I did a scavenger hunt for all the pacies that we could find...it was amazing how many we had. Mara sucked each one before we put them on the string and then again she gave each one a last suck before they flew away.

As they flew away over the house, we had to run out front to see them as she was yelling bye pacies bye. Then she looked at me puzzled and said they are not talking back. As you can see in the pictures, it was a NICE clear day and we watched the pacies float away for almost 30 minutes. She thought her daddy might be able to see them from the plane since he had just left for a trip.
